A political play based on Ellen Wilkinson’s journey to Secretary of State for Education. WWII trenches inspired the set, and the inspiration to use WWII was found in Wilkinson’s persona. She is driven by her passion for making politics better but is constantly put down by the men surrounding her due to her gender. The stage is a pit bordered by trench walls that do not allow her character to leave. Using AutoCAD, Photoshop, and 3D models to help with visuals and mixed media sketches to help create this design.
